A Minimum aggregate of 60% in the qualifying degree examination for All Programmes.. See table below for programme wise eligibility.

For Ex : Students with B.E. / B.Tech degree in IT area will be eligible only to apply for M.E. Software Systems and also may need some specific prior preparation.

B.E. / B.Tech. in Engineering or a Masters Degree in any discipline from any recognized university or any Integrated first degree of BITS. Candidates should have obtained minimum of 60% aggregate marks in qualifying degree.

Interested and eligible candidates should apply through the prescribed application form available online at http://www.bitsadmission.com and take the printout of the filled form. The completed application form along with the prescribed fee should be sent to Dean Admissions, BITS, Pilani-333031. Details of modes of Fee Payment are available at the website while applying online.

Application Fee : Rs.1900/-.

Portal to apply online opens on 18th April 2014.

Important Note :

• The Online tests are generated from a large question bank and different candidates will get different question sets. An expert committee will ensure that the question sets are of comparable difficulty level, content, question type etc. In this matter, the decision of the expert committee will be final and binding on the candidates.
• The test assumes that the candidates have basic familiarity with use of computers like use of keyboard and mouse operation. It is the responsibility of the candidates to acquire these skills before appearing in the test and the Institute cannot take responsibility for the same.
• The Institute is planning to operate test centers in different cities other than Pilani/Goa and Hyderabad as previously stated. The final list of centers will be announced to candidates through the BITS website. The Institute cannot guarantee that test centers will be set up in all these centers. Further, the Institute reserves the right to cancel any test center if such situation arises. In such cases, those candidates allotted to these centers will be accommodated in alternate test centers including Pilani.
• The candidates must fully obey the rules of the test centers; otherwise he/she will be automatically debarred from the test.

For admission to Higher Degree programmes leading to M.E. / M.Pharm. candidates have to appear in the Online tests conducted by BITS at designated centers in different cities (See the advertisement and the detailed brochure available at the website while applying online) and the admission is made on the basis of the performance in the online test subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria.

Admissions to MBA programme of BITS, Pilani, at its Pilani campus, for the I Semester 2014-15 will be made on the basis of CAT 2013 / GMAT and group discussion and interview(s) of candidates. Candidates may be shortlisted based on their CAT scores. Such shortlisted candidates will have to appear for Group Discussion and Interview to be held in Pilani during April 2014. Other centers for Test/Interviews may also be notified.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to come for Group Discussion and interview ,at the center at their own cost

All fees are to be paid in advance. Only caution deposit and mess advance is refundable after adjustment of dues at the time of withdrawal from the Institute. This applies to prospective candidates who are seeking admission as well as ongoing students of the Institute.

Assistantship (Stipend and Fee waiver) :
Students admitted to the Higher Degree Programs will be considered for Teaching Assistantships with a stipend upto Rs. 9,600/- per month and/or partial tuition fee waiver. selected candidates will be required to participate in teaching and other developmental programs of the institute under the guidance of faculty members.

Instructions for Payment :

• The above are for a normal situation. Wherever a student's programme gets modified or his progress is delayed beyond the maximum permissible, such a student is advised to consult the appropriate authority before registration.
• $ The above prescribed semester fees is for the FD, HD and PhD students admitted in the academic year 2014-15.For these students, the semester, term and admission fees will be revised upward every year but will not increase beyond 15% each year.
• The fees and other charges are payable in advance in each semester/term on the notified dates before registration. No withdrawal from a course or courses will entitle a student for refund of fees.
• Students who go for Practice School II will be charged semester fees and the summer term fees because the practice school is longer than a semester and extends it to summer.
• Casual students will pay fees prescribed for regular students.
• Institute caution deposits are refundable only at the time of withdrawal from the Institute.
• If there are dues outstanding from a student, his grades will be withheld.
• Students who accumulate mess arrears would be required to pay a prescribed additional advance at the time of next registration.
• Refunds, if any, will be made through crossed cheques / Bank drafts.
